There will be fun for the whole family at The Shropshire Golf Centre’s summer festival, on Saturday, July 24, with free golf and a number of exciting activities including a live band playing into the evening.

The public pay-and-play facility’s inaugural summer festival will be the perfect day out for the family with exciting activities for children, including pony rides, face painting and bouncy castle, while adults can browse stalls selling unique products and enjoy a barbecue and beer tent.

Golfers within the family will be able to take advantage of discounted golf on The Shropshire’s three golf courses and free golf is available all day for children on the superb Par-3 Academy Course.

There will also be free golf taster sessions for those interested in taking up the sport, with The Shropshire’s stable
of expert PGA professionals on hand to conduct lessons.

Visitors will be entertained by local band The Gold Room playing a selection of classic British rock long into the night.

Money will be raised throughout the day for the Princess Royal Hospital’s Children’s Ward.

James Lever, The Shropshire Golf Centre’s general manager, said: “Our summer festival will be a fantastic occasion for the whole family, with something for everyone.

“There will be plenty going on to keep the children entertained and we will be staging numerous fun competitions throughout the day with some fantastic prizes on offer.”

The Shropshire’s spacious clubhouse will be open all day for refreshments and staff will also be on hand to conduct tours of the grounds for those interested in hiring the facility for weddings or functions.
